    I first tried reading Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine via the audiobook. But I couldn't really get into it till I started reading the hard copy. The Kamogawa Food Detectives is a short, wholesome read. A series of stories about the father-daughter detective duo who solve mysteries of the culinary kind, helping recreate dishes from their customers past. Illuminae is an epistolary novel told solely through chats, emails, journal entries surveillance reports, and transcribed recordings. For me, the format was a visual treat with a unique reading and storytelling experience. I love The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyers but her Renegades series has been underwhelming for me. Archenemies is the second book in the trilogy about superheroes and villains and is probably my least favourite of the series. Both the main characters were super annoying (see what I did there?) and their chemistry felt one-dimensional. The best part of the book was that it was fast-paced so there wasn't much time to ponder upon its shortcomings. The premise of the series was actually really interesting but it fell short on the execution. The series finale Supernova was still better than Archenemies The Little Prince has a very whimsical and poetic feel. It's a short read with some deep messaging and wonderful images. One of my favourite quotes from the book is, "All grown-ups were once children... but only few of them remember it." 💜 Frederik Backman’s world-building is what I love the most about his books. The way he seamlessly goes from one character to another, delving into their histories and the subtle connections they have with each other. The foreshadowing in the book led to a lot of buildup and I couldn’t wait to read further. And so many brilliant quotes! One of my favourites was, "The only thing the sport gives us are moments. But what the hell is life, Peter, apart from moments?” The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time was the first time I read a book from the first person point of view of a main character having autism. It admittedly took time to get used to it, but the main character Christopher was very likable and reading the way he views the world was highly enjoyable. It is a brilliantly written children's book with a dash of mystery. It was in this book that I first came across the Monty Hall Problem, a very famous riddle about probability. Would recommend this book if you are looking for something different and quick to read. Kindred Spirits is a short story by Rainbow Rowell released for World Book Day 2016. A super cute story involving the Star Wars fandom which I wish could be expanded into a full-length book. It looks bigger in the photo but is actually very small in size. A fun quick read about two Kindered Spirits that would bring a smile to your face :) David Copperfield was the first book I ever read, back in 3rd class in school- the very copy pictured here. I don't remember anything from the story now though, so it seems like a good time for a reread. This time an unabridged version :p
